About

DSCN0313

I am a happily married mother of three wonderful children and I am absolutely devoted to Jesus Christ, my wonderful Savior. It is my greatest hope to help spread Christ’s love to others by providing encouragement, inspiration, and sharing the things He is teaching me, in my personal and more importantly, my spiritual life. Most importantly, I pray that if you haven’t already, you will accept the gift of salvation offered to us by Jesus, as He “is the Way, the Truth, and the Life”, John 3:16.

I enjoy writing and have prayed for several years now that the Lord would enable me to use it as an avenue through which to glorify Him. I realized that in order to be able to do so, I would have to allow HIM to guide and lead me as to what He would have me share with others. I had to stop looking at it as “my writing” and instead, look upon it as a way to simply convey what the Lord is doing in my own life and how He is making scripture come alive for me! This took surrender on my part, which continues to be an ongoing process in my spiritual growth.

For me, writing is a form of worship, and one that I pray will inspire you to seek a relationship with Jesus, or deepen one that you already have with Him.

I dedicate all of these writings to my one and only Savior, Jesus Christ, and I pray that you are blessed by them. Please seek His voice and calling upon your life and be inspired to spread the good news of salvation to others in our world.

And remember: Jesus loves you!

23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men Colossians 3:23 NKJV

May God bless you and keep you….and make His face shine upon you…and give you peace.

  1. I concur. I have only recently begun to post “my writing” in the form of a blog. I have felt compelled by Christ for years to write and have been somewhat obedient to His call. He reminded me only this morning, too, that it is not “my writing”; rather, His. Blessings on blogging for His glory! Sue

  2. Thanks for sharing your “heart” for our Lord and Savior and for writing to bring others closer to Him. Before blogging, the radio provided inspiration for me while I tended my family–Elizabeth Elliot’s program especially provided many encouraging words for her listeners. I pray that we, Christian bloggers, can continue the Godly encouragement. To Him be the glory. Thanks for stopping by “What’s The Good Word”! Laura

    • Absolutely! I am so glad you enjoyed it along with your radio time today! We all need to continue in prayer that the Lord continues to do His wonderful work in so many ways through His children! Thank you! Annie 🙂

  3. Hi, Annie! Thanks for your “like” on my blog this morning. In return, I very much like what you’ve written and your heart for serving the Lord through your writing. We have a lot in common. It’s great to see responses from other Christian bloggers, too! I didn’t even know what blogging was until God led me to it several years ago. Blessings to all in the Christian blogosphere – readers, writers, and those who are passing through. 🙂

    • Good Morning…yes, it seems we do have much in common…I am VERY new to blogging…just learned my first “lesson” in that I found that some of the images I had pulled from google (thinking they were public domain) were NOT, so I had to pull about 40 posts off the blog until I have a chance to fix them…ahhhh…the Lord shall bless us stil! May you hae a wonderful week and thank you so much for the lovely greeting and blessings! Annie 🙂

  4. I was a bit overwhelmed when you “liked” all 6 days worth of blog that I posted this morning (Japan time)! However, reading what you say about yourself, I can understand why we are “on the same page” about a number of things. May our Lord bless you as you serve Him, though your family, through your blog, and however else He directs you.

    • Oh goodness…sorry to overwhelm you! I work late nights and then when I come home, I do my reading….then some in the early morning before I sleep during day while kids are at school. Thank you for your wonderful writings! And may God bless you too!

  5. Annie…Thank You sooo much for responding to my blog! It blessed me beyond measure. I am very new to this and I was curious how you found it? I started it about a year ago, but you can see that I haven’t been very dependable on the follow through. Bugs are not the most glamorous subject matter, lol.

I too, love my Savior with all my heart. Everything I do is for HIM, even the bug business! You’d be surprised how many people come into our store looking to rid their homes of pests and leave knowing Jesus as their Savior. God has such an amazing sense of humor and has given me many an analogy to relate the products we sell to attacks from the enemy (termites invading that tiny crack in the foundation vs the enemy creeping in to our unstable foundation OR how just like the grass needs to be fertilized to grow, the Lord sometimes has to heap on the “dung” to allow Spiritual growth in our lives)…you get the idea.

I went to a Christian Networking group last month (Shout out to For the Girls International FTGI.org) and learned from a woman named Kim Garst that when you blog you should make it real and personal–to be yourself and share your faith and talk to people just the way you talk to people…so this is now what I am trying to implement. After all, how many things can you write about just bugs? lol

Thanks for commenting! The Lord has used you to encourage me and I am sincerely grateful.
Be BLESSED, my sister–God wills it!!

    ❤ Mona

    • Oooh…awesome! I am so excited at what the Lord is letting you do through all your endeavors to bring others to Him and glorify Him….love it! Thank you so very much…I agree…we have to be real with people, it’s the best way! And may God continue to bless you…keep going on the blogging – I will look forward to your posts! Anne 🙂

  6. Thanks for stopping by today and for the “like”, but mainly for allowing me to find your blog and be blessed here! I always like it when I find a kindred heart for Christ! Grace & Peace!

  7. Great to see more Christian blogger’s. I spent many years sending out my work. God has always encouraged me to write. I write fiction but include the Lord in everything I write. Even Christian publishers have problems with being “preachy” in fiction so I started self-publishing and it is great now with Kindle, Barnes and Noble and others. I write mysteries, romances, historical and general fiction and God is blessing the books. I didn’t want to give up the faith element to sell books and found this way, I don’t have to. Praise the Lord for others in His service. Good to know other sisters like to write!

    • Aww…thank you so much for checking it out…what a blessing to hear how well you and your books are doing…isn’t it wonderful how the Lord blesses things and teaches us new ways to go about doing our work to glorify Him? I will check out your page more tonight when I get off work….I may pick your brain more at some point about how to start the publishing – it is something we are praying about, my husband and myself, right now. Blessings to you sister!

  8. Thank you for stopping by Getting Through by God’s Grace and liking my post. Writing is an outlet for me and a way for me to share my ever growing relationship with Jesus. Your blog is very inspiring and I look forward to reading more. 🙂

    • Thank you…I will be checking out more of your wonderful writings….I love writing for the Lord…it is a form of worship, if you ask me! Nice to have such great community and fellowship here too. Blessings your way!

  9. Hi Annie

Thank you for liking my post because I was able to find your blog!!! Your attitude toward your blog is inspiring. I loved it when you said, writing is a form of worship!!! I never seen it that way before and I was challenged when you said your writing is not “your writing” but ministry to God!!! I am looking forward to reading more of what God is speaking to you about. God bless you and your family…..

    Rolain

    • Oh thank YOU! I pray you will continue to inspire others too as He is glorified by it. Isn’t it wonderful to have good community and fellowship in the Lord? Thank you so very much for commenting and sharing…I am blessed by your encouragement. Blessings and Love out to You today! Annie 🙂

    • Oh thank you and I am so glad you were encouraged by that…it’s so true…once we turn it over to Him, He shall bless us to do His work and bring Him the glory! Thank you so much! Blessings to you! Annie 🙂

  10. Annie – thanks for “liking” my blog post today. I’m glad you did because it caused me to visit here to learn more about you and I now find myself very encouraged. I’m pleased that you are using something that you enjoy – your writing – as a way to bring glory to God. From what I have read here, you are certainly doing that.

I’m very new to sharing my thoughts via blogging so thanks again for the encouragement that you gave to me by liking my post.

    • Oh thank you so much for the encouragement…keep doing what you are doing – and thank you for being a blessing to me, and to many others! In His love, Annie B 🙂

  12. “For me, writing is a form of worship” … I can so relate. Thank you kindly for visiting Shadows and leaving a “like”. May God’s blessings spur you on to even deeper worship.

    • Truly – if one is in communion with the Lord, we can be in worship all the time! I, admittedly, get distracted with things and am constantly reminded I am not in worship of Him…but not so with writing! Bless you, dear lady! Annie B 🙂

  13. Hey there Annie B, I am sure the Lord has used your writings to bless many 🙂 The Lord is faithful to those who seek him wholeheartedly!

When I started my blog, I made a commitment to write only when He speaks to me. That turned out to be a really good idea 🙂

    • I am so thankful for the many things the Lord has shown me that He can do through us as we yield to Him and His leading in our lives – it continues to amaze and bless me! It is great to hear from you and others who have dedicated their creativity or gifts or talents to Him, as it all comes from Him anyway, right? I am so thankful for the wonderful community we have here too. God is so good!!!

  14. Thank You for visiting my Blog. I am new to all this so I learn as I go along.

I came back on to find a particular passage for my husband – couldn’t remember where it’s from and lo and behold it’s your sign off passage – wonderful!!!

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men Colossians 3:23 NKJV

God really has a way of working things out!

    • Oh yay! Continue on…you will learn so much from the Lord as you blog, plus you are sharing with others – we need one another, especially in these times. God tells us not to forsake fellowship with one another – I finally realized that the world we live in is just going to stay disconnected, so rather than avoid things lilke blogs and facebook, we’d better figure out how to use them for good – because they are here to stay. God can do anything! Thank you so much for the encouragement. you definitely bless me today! Annie 🙂

  15. Thank you so much for stopping by and liking my post today. I relate to how God has put it on your heart to use your gift of writing as a ministry. What a wonderful God we serve!

    • It is a pleasure for sure, Joel. Thank you so much for the encouragement too – I am so happy to find so many others who wish to use their gifts to spread the good news about Jesus and share with others that we are all still broken – He has delivered us from our past, but continues to do so in the midst of our daily trials and struggles. God is GREAT! Annie 🙂

  16. Thank you for taking the time to read and like my blog – I really appreciate it and I pray that God continues to inspire you to write more. Have a blessed day.

    • You too! I shall continue to visit – thank you so much for the encouragement today – and continue to write too, for you are gifted! Be blessed and look up all the day long! Annie 🙂

  17. How delightful to have you find me! I’m a Christian who is new to blogging and haven’t figured out all the process yet. My blog’s intent is to show widows how I found my way down that long, lonely journey of grief and with God’s help, came out strong and happy at the end. With God is the only way. Reba

  20. Amen! He has been so instrumental in my life in ways most people would not believe. I have religion as a category on my blog but I give thanks and all glory to Him across the board. Be blessed Sister.
