Eyes Wide Open 
Everything I’ve read today has been about prayer. Maybe the Father is trying to tell me something. I remember a young man who became a Christian and was going to midweek Bible study. There was an elderly man who always prayed the same prayer, week after week, “Oh Lord God, we beseech Thee that Thou wouldst remove the cobwebs from our hearts.” After about six weeks, the young man couldn’t stand it anymore, and leapt to his feet and prayed, “Please God, kill that spider!” Exactly the same prayer, but from different viewpoints.
