“The reason why many are still troubled, still seeking, still making little forward progress is because they haven’t yet come to the end of themselves. We’re still trying to give orders, and interfering with God’s work within us.” A.W.Tozer
This is so true. As Christians we are always striving for more. Sometimes we miss the reality of it all. Great post as always. Have a wonderful weekend 🙂
Yes…I think we can strive to be the best for Jesus we can, it’s just about keeping the perspective in the right place – and you are so right – it is HARD and the line is fine at times. Bless you!
Good stuff! I don’t know if I can delete my Facebook app lol… It’s got me! 😉 but I do find I’m so much more productive when I turn on a playlist on iTunes and put my phone down to do housework. Those are better days for my household. Putting the phone down = a happier mommy
It’s not about striving, but in dying. We need to just “lay back against Him and breathe, feel His heartbeat, His love is so deep, it’s more than I can stand, I melt in His peace, He’s overwhelming”
Thanks for the post!

Ah, the end of self is indeed the beginning of Jesus and what He can and will do in our lives. Amen and Amen! ~ God Bless ~
So true – thank you, dear friend. Blessings!
