  1. Interesting. I had just put on random music to listen to while I tend to some computer work … Barber’s Adagio for Strings was playing when I got a referral to this blog. VERY powerful! Love the progression and, of course, the Power behind it!
    Blessings and peace!

  2. Thanks, Annie. I have a prodigal son who has twice reached a place of what we thought was brokenness only to bounce right back into messes. This honest photo testimony really gives me renewed hope! What He did for one, He’ll surely do for another! Thanks!

    • Oh thank you…you know, I have been painstakingly looking for images that make it clear we can reuse them, there are not copyright restrictions, etc. It’s HARD! But God always blesses. If you have any tips for me, I’d love to hear. I don’t want that aspect of things to make this less than a blessing for others or for me!

  3. great imagery – pictures do say a thousand words. It is the Gospel in imagery.
Annie – Just be sure you have permission to use them all or they are not violating copyrights. If you don’t, that is against the law and you can be sued. So please take them off and subscribe to a stock photo site where you pay for the license to legally use the photos. May God bless your witness to His mercy.

    • Hello! Aah, thank you so much. I really love your writings. Yes, I have been painstakingly checking that out with the images I have been using as I learned that not all that were “out there” that said they were copyright free really were! Please let me know if you see any that I have made any mistakes about that you know of…I have been sticking to the ones that need no attribution and say they are copyright “free for reuse” – mostly from Microsoft and Morguefile and Pixabay. There are a select few I use that do ask for attribution. It’s complicated isn’t it? What do you do for your images? Do you just stick to one site? I would love to learn from you, as it all makes me nervous, even when they say we are free to share.

  4. Wow, absolutely beautiful and powerful. Thank you for sharing Jesus in such a powerful way Annie. You’re obviously an artist! Thanks for visiting my blog and I’m glad our lives have touched.

    • Oh, thank you so much, I am glad you were blessed by it. You know, it’s just harder to paint the whole picture in words, but I feel it’s important to address the hard stuff…that way, people know how FAR Jesus goes to pull us closer to Him. Blessings to you and I shall continue to check yours out – thank you for being a blessing to us! Annie 🙂

    • awwww thank you and I am glad you were blessed by it….too hard to get that much information into text, so I thought I’d use the photos from the sites that say we can use them – it was actually a real blessing to put that together! Blessings to you!

    • Well, I think, honestly, it was when I found that my mother was going to pass away – her cancer was terminal, and about five years ago, when she was moving toward the end, I realized it all…that I needed to make Him the LORD of my life, the CENTER….that turning from sin and all the past was crucial. He brought me back to Him through that whole experience. I am so very grateful.

  5. Thanks Annie, this is very special. It is so inspiring to see what the Lord has brought you from, through, and to.
Every blessing to you and your ministry! Thanks for visiting wordimagery.
His grace and peace for your journey,
    Steve

  6. Wow – this is so powerful! Thank you for sharing your testimony with these beautiful images. Oh- what Jesus does! He was always there – pursuing you 🙂 Such hope for those that pray for the one’s we love. He is sure to go after them.

  8. Wow – so well done with great images. Thanks for sharing the Pixabay link too. God bless you in your walk and don’t let go of his hand!
    Cynthia. 🙂

    • Pixabay is great! You just scroll down on the right of the image and make sure the author hasn’t asked for attribution – nine out of ten times, they don’t.. Thank you for the encouragement – blessings to you too and have an awesome week in the Lord! Annie B 🙂

    • Oh my goodness, thank you! I am glad it blessed you. It took a very long time to find the right images, and ones that were not bound by copyright restrictions, etc. God held my hand all the way through that adventure, just as He has through my whole life. Thank you for the encouragement and the blessing today! Have a great day, friend! Annie 🙂

    • Aaah…God is blessing me through you, friend. Thank you for the encouragement. I love telling stories with images, and it has been a challenge to find the right ones with all the copyright laws. The Lord is good and has grown me through my life, and through little things like that too. Have a beautiful day, and thank you so much for the encouragement – you bless me today! Annie 🙂

  9. Thank you for stoping by my blog. I hope it offered a word of Encouragement!

    • Thank you! I am hoping one day to have one of our worship leaders put music to it…then put each piece on an individual powerpoint slide…it’s fun! And it is awesome to hear from someone whose mind and heart translate the inspiration from the Lord in a similar way! Bless you dear lady! And thank you for the encouragement – keep up what you are doing for the Lord! Whoo Hoo! Annie 🙂

    • Yes! I will be checking it out – I am looking forward to it for sure! I hope to have some good time to take my time over it this weekend. Bless you, friend! Annie 🙂

  14. Wow! Isn’t the Lord great how He turns our lives around and leads us to Him. Lord Bless. Today is my 53rd Spiritual Birthday. My photos would not be the same, but the truth that only the Lord is our Salvation is the same.

    • I am so sorry I have not gotten to reply yet – I have been working like crazy and haven’t been able to be attentive to the comments on the blog. Thank you so very much – how encouraging you are to me. You are more than welcome to show it to anyone you wish. I just go to google and type Eyes Wide Open Anne’s Testimony in Pictures, and the link pops right up for it. https://ambirkelo.wordpress.com/2013/02/03/pictures-paint-the-words-better-than-i-can-annes-testimony/
Be blessed today and this week coming up. Let me know if you show it to the church if others are inspired by it and if anyone asks for prayer so I can pray for them, K? Bless you!

      • Tx Annie. Yes, I did indeed grab most of the pix and comments and string it into a ppt presentation. Everybody liked it and was touched. Two of the ladies were challenged to begin blogging and I’ll put them on to you as soon as they become bloggers. The youth simply loved it.
Hope you get to listen to my audio devos. I put them out Mon-Fri. Be blessed. Ed

      • Well, awesome news! That is how I have envisioned doing it too if I ever present it to my church or anything – I was thinking of having our worship leader put music to it too. I am glad you did that and that the youth, especially were inspired. And that is great that some ladies wish to blog now! Nice! I can’t wait to spend some time listening to the audio devos – I hope to do so tonight a bit after running errands. Thank you, dear one – you are an inspiration and a blessing! Annie 🙂

  15. Well done. How powerful is a personal testimony no matter how it is presented. My first seeing it done like this and I thought it was captivating.
